Suspended Turquoise Teardrop Necklace on 16" Oxidized Sterling Silver Chain

A turquoise teardrop in deep sea-green, laced with dark spiderweb matrix, wire-wrapped by hand and suspended right in the chain so it sits flat and centered at the base of your throat. The oxidized sterling silver chain is darkened on purpose, so the color of the stone glows against it.

Earthy, a little edgy, and the kind of piece you never want to take off.

Made by hand in the FILOSOPHY studio in North Boulder, Colorado.

Turquoise Meaning: A Piece of the Sky

Turquoise is one of the oldest protection stones there is. Travelers and wanderers have carried it for thousands of years as a piece of the sky they could keep close, and it still belongs to the woman who follows her own map.

Worn at the throat, it's a reminder to speak up for yourself and trust where you're headed.

How to Wear It

At 16" the stone sits right at the base of the throat, perfect with a crew neck, a button-down open at the collar or a tank. Layer it with a longer silver chain for an easy collected look.

Why Oxidized Sterling?

Oxidizing darkens sterling silver to a soft charcoal that looks like it's been loved for years. It makes turquoise pop and gives the necklace an earthy, Southwest feel. With wear, the high points may brighten a little, which only adds to its character.

Natural Gemstone Variation

Every turquoise has its own shade and its own web of matrix, so your stone will be uniquely yours and may vary slightly from the photos.

About the photos: The photos on a white background are actual photographs of this necklace. The photo of it worn is AI-created to show how it looks, and the stone's color in that photo may differ a little from the real piece.

Jewelry Care

Take it off before swimming, showering or exercising, and put it on after lotion and perfume. Turquoise is porous, so keep it away from water and chemicals. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, and skip silver polish or dips, which would remove the oxidized finish.
