Ocean jasper only comes from one place on Earth - a mine in Madagascar that's now underwater most of the time (literally only accessible at low tide). These pieces show the characteristic orbs, swirls, and color variations - rust orange fading to peachy coral, olive green at the base, cream and white speckles throughout. No two stones match exactly, which is the point. The sterling silver wire wrapping at the top is hand-done, not machine stamped.

About Ocean Jasper
Ocean jasper (also called orbicular jasper) is a rare variety of jasper found only on the northwest coast of Madagascar. The colors you see - those orbs and patterns - formed from volcanic activity and mineral deposits over millions of years. Each piece is legitimately one-of-a-kind because the mine produces such varied material.
Care & Longevity
Sterling silver will develop a natural patina over time, which you can either embrace or polish off with a silver cloth. The jasper is durable (6.5-7 on Mohs scale) and doesn't require special care beyond occasional cleaning.
