Sleeping Beauty turquoise comes from the Sleeping Beauty Mine in Globe, Arizona, named for the mountain above it that looks like a woman lying asleep. The mine stopped producing turquoise in 2012, so this soft, clear blue is getting harder to find every year.
Turquoise has been carried for thousands of years as a stone of protection for travelers and wanderers. Wear it as a reminder that your own path is worth following, even when you're the only one on it.

Put it on after lotion and perfume, and take it off before swimming, showering or exercising. Turquoise is porous, so keep it away from water and chemicals. Wipe the stone with a soft, dry cloth and polish the silver gently, keeping polish off the turquoise. Store it dry.
